Order to DEO to send certified information of books provided free of charge for classes 1 to 8

Reasons for increase or decrease in student numbers have to be presented

. Bhavnagar (message representative) ! Govt., Granted, K.G.B. V., the Gujarat Textbook Board has ordered the DEO to send the certified information about the books given free of cost in the model schools and ashramshalas of classes 1 to 8.

According to the order issued by the Gujarat Textbook Board to the DEO, in the matter of free books of the district

Student Number List as per UDISE is included. whose taluk-wise, standard and secondary student numbers are to be verified. If there is increase or decrease in the number of students receiving free textbooks from government, aided, KGBV, model schools and ashramshalas in the talukas, the number of students must be shown giving proper reasons. Amendments to the information provided

And after giving a certificate that the information is correct, it has to be informed by letter/e-mail to the Gujarat State School Textbook Board within 7 days.

Free textbooks will be sent to Taluka/Municipality level based on this verified information. After that, any textbook demand will not be taken into consideration, it has been stated in an order.
